Roommates
Who: Noël Christenbell, anyone else in house #1007
When: September 1
Where: House #1007
What: House mingle! Roommates gotta meet at some point, right?
Warnings: Possible language? I doubt anything too bad is gonna go down here.
What's This?
[Your new roommate is not very familiar with modern technology. You may be able to find him peering at a vent the air conditioning is blowing through, flicking the lights in a room on and off, or investigating things like the fridge or microwave in the kitchen.]
FamilyFeud Food
[Noël had gone through and counted the bedroom doors. So there were supposed to be four people living here? It was easier to cook enough for everyone than try to make tiny portions, and he was used to taking care of himself and Charles, when they'd actually had food to cook..... So you might be able to find him in the kitchen, working on a pot of simple stew.]
Wildcard
[Any way you want it, that's the way you need it~]
((OOC: Feel free to treat this like a mini mingle post--at least for my threads, everyone has blanket permission for hopping into threads or whatever.))

Kamui practically glides into the kitchen, making his way nostrils first.]
Smells like Earth cuisine.
no subject
[Noël raises an eyebrow at the man swanning in, sleeves rolled up to his elbows as he washes his prep dishes; he definitely hasn't seen him before now..... Probably was out late exploring, or looking for monsters, or something. It doesn't really matter, anyway; it isn't as though they're related or anything. He can keep whatever schedule he likes, as long as he doesn't expect it to be catered to.]
no subject
[Kamui himself has ditched his cloak while indoors. He's taken his shoes off as well, yet for some inexplicable reason, he hasn't removed the bandages from his arms. He leans over Noel's shoulder so he can watch what his roomy is doing.]
I've never heard of English flavor.
no subject
[Well, someone dresses casually in the house..... Noël hunches his shoulders a little at the sudden closeness as he turns back to his washing, but for the moment, doesn't try to shoo Kamui away.]
no subject
no subject
[So..... yes, basically. If not knowing about the existence of aliens is being sheltered, then Noël is super sheltered. He's not even entirely sure if you're an alien or just someone who can apparently somehow travel through space, Kamui.]
.....What do they eat, anyway?
no subject
[Ask a stupid question, get an alien to stare at you like you are two years old.]
no subject
I feel sorry for them, then, having only one kind of food for the rest of the universe. You'd think there'd at least be some variation between planets.
no subject
[Because that's the only thing that matters here. Education should be saved for those who earn it.]
no subject
[Shhhh, he totally wasn't planning to give you some anyway, what are you talking about?]
no subject
If I were dying of starvation, I wouldn't be waiting for you to finish.
no subject
It's a figure of speech. Besides, stew's no good if you rush it.
no subject
[Kamui smiles in anticipation for the stew. He doesn't seem to notice how ominous that might sound.]
no subject
[Somehow, it seems wise to just agree with him, at this point; he's not sure if the way Kamui is smiling, combined with that statement, should be making him uneasy or not. Either way, he can't help the flutter of remembered fear, faced with an implacable, inhuman malice that had at that point been beyond his comprehension.
(I'm hungry..... Can I..... eat that.....?
You're wrong. The thing I'll eat is your eyes.)]
It shouldn't be too much longer, anyway.
no subject
Yay, stew!
no subject
Where have you been, anyway? I thought everyone who lived here had already been back for a while.
no subject
[It's almost funny how matter-of-fact he can be while not actually explaining anything.]
no subject
[It would be funny, if it weren't so confusing. He's not sure what he thinks of hearing that Kamui occupied himself with vandalism, either--it could probably get him in trouble, couldn't it? On the other hand, the people who probably lived in that manor..... well, he doubts they'll be complaining anytime soon, as terribly as they were butchered. It's probably fine.]
no subject
no subject
[That's not much more extended, but it gets the idea across. Still, if that's something he's always had to deal with, it seems a little strange that Kamui wouldn't have taken the necessary precautions.]
no subject
[He's still smiling. His eyes, however, are not.]

Of course. If it was easy, I wouldn't still be here. I'll find them though, and make them send me back.
The strongest man in the universe is waiting for me to fight him.
no subject
[If the original perpetrators were killed, whoever killed them might not be able to send them back. Even if they are, if Kamui kills them, won't they all be out of luck anyway? And even if Kamui gets sent back..... well, the rest of them would probably still be stuck here, huh?
It's all so many "what ifs" he can't even begin to worry about all the possibilities right now. So Noël just reaches for his spoon, opening the pot to give the stew another stir and check its progress; talking about whoever this guy is should probably make Kamui happy. He sounds like he's looking forward to that fight.]
no subject
[He doesn't even know the guy's name.]

[There's just an air about Kamui that makes him believe it, somehow. Maybe it's how matter of factly he declares it, or maybe it's that look in his eyes, where the smile failed to reach and something far more chilling took its place. If Kamui's father is stronger than he is, then who knows? Maybe his father's opponent really is the strongest man in the universe. Maybe Kamui is some kind of alien space prince or something?
Noël scoops a mouthful of stew onto his spoon, tapping it briskly against the rim of the pot before offering it to Kamui.]
Taste this and see if it needs anything?
no subject
Sure, his little sister happens to live on the planet this man is trying to destroy, but that's not actually important. Really. It's not. He doesn't care about her at all. It's just that he should be the one to kill her, not some stranger with a stupid face.
Ah, right. Stew.
When the spoon floats his way, Kamui takes nearly the entire utensil into his mouth. Noel might want to retract his poor fingers.]
Needs more of everything!
no subject
[It definitely does not need his fingers added to the mix! Noël abruptly jerks his hand back before Kamui could theoretically bite anything off, mildly bewildered to see nearly an entire serving spoon vanish. How does he do that?
Seriously, though, more of everything doesn't change proportions or flavor at all! That's just saying "I want a whole bowl, not just a spoonful.", isn't it?]
no subject
[Kamui easily waves the thought aside. The stew tastes just fine as is, spoon and all.]
no subject
[Noël turns the burner off, opening a cupboard to get some bowls. Please don't eat the spoon, Kamui, they'll need that to serve with--and he's not entirely convinced you won't just devour that, too, the way you stuffed nearly the entire thing into your mouth.]
no subject
no subject
[Noël fights the urge to grimace in disgust as he takes the spoon, giving it a quick rinse in the sink instead. He dishes out a bowl for each of them--if neither of their other roommates show up to claim portions of their own, then it's not his fault if they go hungry. If Kamui ends up devouring most of the pot getting thirds and fourths and more, then he's not going to be the one to stop him.]
no subject
Kamui accepts his bowl with something akin to grace and even moves to sit down before eating. Once he starts eating, however, all the rules go out the window. He gulps his helping down like a mug of chocolate milk.
Well, at least it's clear that he does like the taste.]
Aaaah, that hit the spot.
no subject
[Even if he is staring a little, because he's never seen anyone inhale food quite that fast and not choke horribly on it. Still..... it's flattering, at least?]
no subject
[Yeah, he's getting up for seconds not two minutes after he sat down.]
